Little Miley

Last night I got to watch Miley after I taught classes at the studio.  Tiffany and I put her on the gym floor and she looked like she was stretching so we had to take some pics.  I love my little niece -- she is such a little cutie!

I can touch my toes!

"Hmm... if only I could walk."

This place is so much fun Mommy!

Update on Nolan

I have had a few people ask how Nolan is doing so here is a quick update...
Nolan was diagnosed with RSV on Sunday morning.  If you aren't familiar with RSV, it is kind of like a "bad cold" for infants or younger children.  Luckily, he was already being treated accordingly after finally getting some results over the weekend.  He has continued to need oxygen, albuterol treatments, and chest percussions.

The doctors expect him to be at the hospital at least throughout the week.  Just tonight Angela said that they were able to decrease his oxygen requirements quite a bit, but they were also told that it's not uncommon to have to increase it again at night while he sleeps.

Please continue to pray for him.  He is being a trooper but still has a long road to full recovery!  Please keep praying for Craig and Angela as well.  We were able to visit with them on Saturday evening, and they were pretty exhausted.  Nolan looks so sweet in his little "crib".  He has an IV in his head and a little headband that wraps around it.  The nurses made him a matching headband for his gloworm and all of his other stuffed animals.

Let's hope for more good news soon!

Prayers for Nolan

Hey friends!
This blog is to ask for prayers for some friends of ours, Craig and Angela.  Their little boy, Nolan, is in the ICU right now at Clarian North.  He went in to have tubes put in his ears on Tuesday and has had a rough time ever since.  His ears are doing well, but he has been struggling to keep anything down and has had trouble breathing on his own.

After two evenings in the ER, Nolan's pediatrician admitted him to the hospital.  This morning he was moved to the ICU.  He is on oxygen but his sats have dipped into the 70s despite being on max oxygen by nasal canula.  They moved him to the ICU so that he can be on vapo therm (which allows him to get even more oxygen).  He is currently on 10 liters of oxygen and getting albuterol every 2 hours (which is frequent), and they added another medication, ipratropium, every 4 hours.  A chest xray yesterday showed a viral process which had changed from Wednesday's xray.  He has been swabbed for the flu twice, but both were negative.  The doctor still hasn't ruled that out though.

Please pray for little Nolan to get stronger with the medications and oxygen, and also for Craig and Angela, who haven't had time to get much rest obviously throughout this whole week.

Here is a picture of little Nolan so you know who you're praying for -- doesn't have just the cutest little dimples?

Thanks for praying!  I trust that God will bring him through this!

Barkley's 1st Birthday!

My little Barkley turns 1 today -- what a fast year it has been!
He is the sweetest little bulldog:)
 Mama and Barkley

We got him a cake from the Three Dog Bakery in Broad Ripple.
I know, he's not spoiled or anything, right?
But hey, we have to take care of him before Baby Reutter comes along and takes over his world :)

 Checking it out...

... and digging in!

 Happy Birthday little guy!

You will always be my little puppy!

Prego Stats

For those of you who have been asking how my pregnancy is going, here is an update.
  • Ella has been measuring right on track throughout my whole pregnancy.  At my last appointment she was right at 28 weeks, where we should be.
  • Last heartrate was 140, which seems to be a consistent number for her
  • Passed my glucose test last week, but I have low iron.  I'm taking an iron supplement now
  • Overall I am feeling very well.  The daily nausea has FINALLY subsided (halleluhah)!!!  I do have daily heartburn and nausea occassionally, but I will take that any day over the nausea I had the first 26 weeks of pregnancy!
  • My ribs are starting to hurt, so i'm pretty sure she is pushing up on my them
  • No swelling yet.  Wedding ring still fits ;)
  • Feeling tired all the time.  Standing is hard at work, i'm trying to sit when I can.
  • Total weight gain so far:  13 lbs
  • My favorite part:  feeling baby kicks.  I love to sit and feel her move around.  Chris enjoys feeling her move too :)

As for the nursery, it is still a work in progress.  Here is the beginning.  I wish I had a "before" picture, but I didn't take one.  It was green and blue before with a safari border.  My dad and Chris painted it and added the chair railing.  So far the changing table is assembled, but the crib is still in the works.  Hopefully this weekend we will get it put together.  I am ready to get things organized!

We have our first prenatal class tomorrow, followed by a breastfeeding class next Saturday.  I also have 3 showers coming up in February.  Can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

28 weeks

It seems like April will be here before we know it.  I'm ready for the warm weather, and more importantly, i'm ready to meet our baby girl :)
