We are watching my sister's dog for a few days while she is out of town and Ella thinks she is the funniest thing!  You can't even see Madi in the video, but you can see that she thinks she really likes her!  She really likes when she barks at Barkley. (I was practically in tears from laughing, too)!

We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your friends and family.  This year has definitely been a Christmas to remember, and it's not even Christmas yet!  We feel so blessed by our sweet little Ella.  I hope you all have a wonderful day tomorrow celebrating the birth of our savior.  After all, we would not be celebrating if it weren't for Him!

Ella learned to wave a few weeks ago and finally has it down pat.  Here is a video of her from the other night :)

Love Thy Neighbor(s)

When we moved into our house three years ago we didn't realize we would meet the best neighbors ever.  It took us awhile, but after about a year at our house, we got to know Cloe and Lonnie well.  Chris and I have both loved them and having them so close.  Cloe is the sweetest person and willing to do anything for you, and Lonnie and Chris could talk for hours on end (mostly about sports or something).  Sadly, we have come to accept that they are "moving on" to another neighborhood.  They will only be about 15 minutes from here, but it just won't be the same.  I will miss our conversations outside in the summer and our frequent dinners at each others houses.  I know we will still see each other, but I will miss the little moments.  

Here's to you, Cloe!  Thanks for being such a wonderful neighbor.  

I guess I can officially refer to you as my "friend" now instead of my neighbor!

Since they are moving this weekend we got together tonight to celebrate Christmas.  Here are some pics:

You can't really read it here, but we got him a hat that says "Sidewalk King".  This is for his new house.  On our street he owns our sidewalk with all of his cars and toys, so his new neighbors need to know who he is, hehe :)

thankful

Today I am thankful for life.  Sounds cheesy, right?  Lately it seems like so many people around me are losing family or friends close to them or struggling with major issues.  Death, illness, cancer, domestic violence, and so on.  I praise God that I haven't had to experience any of these things myself, but have had a heavy heart lately towards those going through it or those who have lost loves ones.  I am trying to remind myself that God works for the good in ALL things, even when it's hard to understand sometimes.  So today I will go to work with a thankful heart.  Thankful for my job, husband, house, and of course my sweet, sweet Ella.  Life is good.
